1. Brief Description
Why does the job/role exist
The successful candidate will join the Singapore based Info exchange, Data quality control (IEDQC) team. This is part of the REMODEL initiative which is currently underway to revamp Information Systems world-wide. As part of IEDQC initiative, the firm is implementing an SOA framework and is seeking candidates with specialist knowledge of integration product sets (EAI, ESB, BPM, ETL, etc
), implementing an enterprise wide SOA architecture, implementing a SOA Centre of Excellence and aligning the business projects to evolve the SOA target in a pragmatic fashion. Combined with the ability to work alongside business leaders at an ideas stage to explain the concepts behind them in business terms and ensure that they are aware of the how technology could help them meet their business challenges.
2. Key Result Areas (2 3 Key Items)
What does the job need to deliver? How is it measurable?
Construction of a SOA service framework target domain level services, composite (multi domain) services, target orchestrations / business processes and interaction services.
Develop a technical target for the deployment of integration toolsets.
Production of a blueprint (roadmap, principles, policies, governance) for SOA based solutions within B2B (mainly EDI related) and A2A framework, ERP, CRM, legacy applications and other REMODEL domains requiring integration work.
With other Architects, the business, design communities alike, and vendors, to align business projects to evolve the SOA target in a pragmatic fashion.
3. Key Accountabilities/Duties
Implement enterprise SOA framework Integration tools such as ESB, Integration guidelines, principles and policies. Where necessary, draft RFP and work with selected vendors to develop the above.
Develop and oversee Integration/SOA governance structure via the setup of SOA Centre of Excellence.
Work with domain stakeholders to develop XML based Canonical Message Model for A2A integration.
Work with domain stakeholders to develop enterprise wide standard event format for biz and IT activity / event monitoring.
Ensure delivered systems perform to user specifications and performance standards.
4. Incumbent specification
Education/Experience, skill sets, desired competencies;
Show which are Typical and which are Nice to have.
Education A relevant degree, master in information technology, or equivalent
Experiences 5 years experience including at least 2 full integration solution projects preferably in the transportation/logistics area
Experience with SOA migration and open standards
Good understanding of various EDI standards such as EDI, RosetteNet, EAN.UCC, SANC, XML, ebXML, portal type data exchange applications, etc
B2B Implementation skills for large enterprise covering all aspects, including applications, platforms, software database, network and communications, protocols, security, performance and scalability.
Experience in managing internal user community.
Experience in managing project team of 5 or more team members.
Experience in managing project budget and financials.
Experience in developing guidelines, policies and processes.
Experience in managing external SI and consulting vendors.
Skill Sets IBM Websphere integration suite (ESB, service registry, information server, etc
), J2EE, IBM MQSI, iLog, Cyclone Commerce, Mercator, Gentran, Extol, Informatica, DaVinci Framework
Desired competencies (typical) Strong communication skills both verbal and in writing are important as the work requires integration with colleagues, users and business partners all around the world
Desired competencies (nice to have) Knowledge of liner or logistic operations
TOGAF certification
PMP or equivalent certification
