Project Director – Clientside- Exciting 1800 MW CCGT project

The Project Director will lead the Owners' team during project EPC and FSRU shipbuilding activities to achieve successful commercial operation of the enterprise. Job success is defined as meeting project specifications for safety, quality, budget and schedule. This job position spans and oversees project engineering, procurement, manufacturing, transport, construction, commissioning, and testing of the facility including preparations for commercial operation. Project facilities include:

• 1800 MW Gas Turbine Combined Cycle Power Plant
• LNG Floating Storage & Regasification Unit (a ship)
• Offshore FSRU Mooring Facilities
• Gas Pipeline, Offshore and Onshore
• Power Transmission Line and Substation
• Housing Compound

This job position provides high-level, strategic advice to and receives direction from project company officers and/or the shareholder steering committee in areas including contractor management, project planning, key technical decisions, risks and opportunities for improvement, delivery strategy, and project management. The position requires strong leadership and teamwork whilst maintaining discipline and providing positive encouragement to project stakeholders

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

• At least twenty (20) years’ experience in the Power industry or related field, of which ten (10) years or more are overseas and/or in a multicultural work environment. LNG and/or FSRU experience also beneficial.

• Previous successful experience in IPP project EPC-phase management at the level of Construction Manager, Deputy Project Director, or Project Director on at least two projects of similar size and scope.

• A professionally qualified engineer. BSc. or MSc. engineering degree. Additional studies in business management preferred.

• Read/write/speak English language with sufficient fluency to communicate effectively with a multinational contractor and workforce. Competency in Bahasa Indonesia language is a plus.

• Experience and competency in managing sophisticated contracts, including associated claims management and settlement.

• Experience and competency preparing and managing budgets and forecasting financial performance
