Our client is a successful professional services multinational, with China being one of their top 3 markets globally. With a new leadership team installed, a progressive transformation agenda is in the works, and a seasoned and senior finance professional is required to take on the lead role of Greater China CFO, to be based in Shanghai.
Reporting to the Asia Pacific CFO and partnering the Greater China MD, you will manage the entirety of the finance function for their China business. Primarily, the role encompasses the financial stewardship of the China business, corporate governance as well as strategic financial planning and commercial business analysis to partner the MD in growth initiatives. As part of the local management team in China, you can also be expected to get involved in strategic initiatives including exciting capital investment projects, M&A, and other activities as driven out of the corporate HQ.
Ideally you are degree qualified and are a qualified Chartered Accountant. Having a minimum of between 15 - 20 years commercial work experience, of which some must be spent in a Big 4 Accounting firm, you have managed China directly and/or as part of a regional portfolio. Given that the role will be based in Shanghai, Mandarin language skills will be highly advantageous. Dynamic, strategic and an extremely strong commercial finance business partner, you are a change agent and have successfully led transformation and/or optimization initiatives. Strong people management and development skills, will also be critical success factors in this role.
