Our client is a globally renowned MNC and a rising star in the Food Ingredients and Nutrition industry. Their Specialty Food Ingredients & Nutrition business has been on tremendous growth and am now looking to bring in a talented individual to assist with the market development across assigned Asia region.
Reporting to the Business Development Director of APAC, the Commercial Development (CD) Manager works to accelerate new product launching, new business model and segment development, and to drive strategic capital investment projects in SEA/ANZ. Furthermore, the CD manager supports the definition of long-term strategic goals, explores and executes M&A opportunities, and maintains extensive knowledge of current market conditions and trends. The CD manager works closely with the internal team, marketing staff, and other managers to capitalize on opportunities and thereby maximizes revenue and creates value for the business unit. Together with Sales, the CD manager calls on clients, presenting on solutions and services that meet or predict their clients’ future needs.
The primary role of the CD Manager is to drive and build the business across SEA/ANZ. By planning persuasive approaches that will provide new solutions and services to the sales team in to present to customers. For existing product lines not present in SEA/ANZ, the CD manager works closely with Business Managers, marketing, and technical staff. Strategic planning is a key part of this job description, since it is the CD Manager’s responsibility to develop the pipeline of new business coming in to the company. This requires a thorough knowledge of the market, the solutions/services the company can provide, and of the company’s competitors.
You will possess a Bachelor of Business Administration or Science food science or other related education background with more than 15 years’ commercial experience working in the Flavors and/or Specialty Food Ingredients industries. Key skills in project and portfolio management will be necessary in a highly matrix environment and strong business acumen will be desirable to translate opportunity to business results. Excellent presentation and communication skills will be necessary and experiences handling big accounts will be desirable.
