Our client is a globally leading Flavor house with a very strong position in the market. With their Asia Pacific HQ here in Singapore, they are looking at up scaling their functional strengths in their technical team and am looking for a strategic leader to bring the team to the next level.
Reporting to the Asia President, this role will be based in Singapore and provide strategic leadership, direction and goals for APAC Regional Flavor Creation and Application. You will drive continuous improvement in technical capability standards in close collaboration with Global HQ as well as customer projects and pro-active Initiatives, supporting the Key Account business activities. Other tasks include collaboration with key stakeholders and key technical contacts within the APAC and Global technical network, and across functions, to develop sustainable innovative solutions and to ensure best practice project delivery. You will coordinate all requests and allocate resources depending on capability and capacity; while establishing a spirit of motivation, engagement and collaboration, maintaining career development plans, focusing on individual and organizational development, and retaining and hiring the right talent. Provision and facilitation of training for the in-country technical teams will be required.
You will minimally possess a BSc Degree in Food Chemistry, Food Science, or equivalent with at least 15-20 years experience in Technical Development positions within the Food Ingredients industry or Food companies, progressing to a regional leader role. Excellent technical knowledge in foods, beverages and flavor, including a solid understanding of flavor chemistry, food and ingredient science, food and beverage processing, and flavor perception will be necessary. You will have proven leadership track record in a global matrix organization, providing strategic leadership, direction and achievement of goals. Strong people management skills with a curious mind will be the key traits that the hiring company is seeking for.
