Our client who is a leading garment manufacturing business with presence spread across the Asia region is looking for a Plant Manager for its facility located in Bangladesh to lead all plant operations and plant efficiency initiatives within the business.
As a senior stakeholder in the business with full profit and loss accountability, you will assume the overall responsibility of the manufacturing plant of over 2,000 headcounts and ensure company policies and procedures are adhered to. You will be working closely with the team to manage daily operations and coordinate plant operations in areas of production, manufacturing engineering, maintenance, quality and supply chain. You will also be tasked to manage high standards of operation by increasing production yield, reducing production cost and improving quality without compromising on safety. The role also requires the successful candidate to lead plant personnel to strive for operational excellence with a culture for striving for improvement and to ensure the short-term and long-term availability of a competent and motivated workforce.
To be successful in this role, you will need to have a tertiary qualification in Engineering/ Operations Management with over ten years of relevant working experience ideally from a similar industry. You will need to have a strong know-how of business and management principles and the ability to multi-task, be a good team player and have high attention to details. Good interpersonal and communication skills are highly regarded, and ideally, you will need to possess excellent spoken and written skills (in English) and mastery of the local language as well.
