A leading player in the payments industry is hiring a Head of Operations for APAC who will ideally have a Technology delivery background within retail Payments domain. This leadership role can be based in Singapore or Malaysia and will have an oversight of Technology projects and Operations
You will report directly to the CEO for APAC and work closely with each Head of Departments and Country heads to organize and oversee daily business Operations in the region ( Covering 6 main countries) The role will strategize and provide full support of APAC business plan with well coordination of resources, maximize productivity and skills within agreed parameters of cost, timescales and quality. Analyze and understand from business perspectives of financial and operational areas (e.g. operational efficiency, cost awareness, policy and control- related issues) and develop/change of new and alternative approaches including new innovation and technology to enhance better business activities.
Responsible for the implementation and deployment of effective processes, systems and standards, participate in annual budgeting and business planning, provide guidance and direction to execute project reviews and evaluation with senior stakeholders. You would have the ability to be an external, independent assessor on complex projects, recommending feasible improvements/ alternatives based on thought leadership.
As a business leader your key areas of focus for this role shall remain Profit, People, Client, Resources, Project Delivery and Operations
You would have experience as a proven leader and with past experience in managing operations. A strong track record of managing multiple projects and delivery with banks in the region. Possess excellent communication skills for managing internally with stakeholders as well as externally with clients. You would have a strong grasp of the latest technology trends and fair bit of technical understanding. Ideally have come from a Technical background and still can have technical discussions with stakeholders and clients if required. Managed large projects across multiple clients in the region ( At least ASEAN/ South East Asia). Payments domain in the retail space would be highly desired. Experience in digital transformation impacting products and delivery will be an added advantage.
