This is one of the most admired and respected technology companies today. As part of their commitment to power their technology operations with renewable energy in the next 10 years, there is now a newly created opportunity for an APAC Renewable Energy M&A Lead in Asia Pacific, driving negotiations and execution of power supply agreements for exclusive consumption by the Group.
Reporting to the Global Head of Energy, the Renewable Energy Investments, M&A lead will drive origination, analysis, negotiations and execution of wholesale and retail power supply for the APAC region. Such supply channels can come in the form of inorganic acquisitions, JV or other partnership arrangements. Another primary aspect of the role entails identifying key market and regulatory conditions to develop and deliver on a comprehensive energy procurement strategy.
The successful candidate will be a Masters’ holder with an excellent degree in a finance or business discipline with a minimum of 15 years’ experience energy, utilities, power or finance industries, focusing on energy project finance, power, energy procurement and APAC power markets. You will also be described as commercial, entrepreneurial and yet also operationally hands-on with the ability to navigate with limited resources. Due to the team’s focus on Asia Pacific including North Asia, those with an additional language competency in a North Asian language will have a distinct advantage.
