    Our client is an established regional bank with a focus on corporate banking and trade finance business. They are currently looking for a legal counsel to join their team reporting directly to the Head of Legal.

    Responsibilities 

    As a legal counsel within the Bank, you will be supporting the business in all legal matters. You are responsible for drafting and reviewing all bank’s standard legal document including but not limited to loan agreements, facilities agreement, structured finance agreements and ISDA agreements etc. You will also be required to manage any litigation cases from clients and working with external counsels to ensure that the relevant risks are managed for the bank. You will be working closely with the business in relation to any new product launches and providing advice on the legal implications. In order to manage the bank’s legal risk, you are also required to be kept up to date on any new law regulations that may have an impact on the Bank’s operation and business.

    Requirements

    In order to succeed in this role, you should have at least 6-8 years PQE in a financial institution and is familiar with banking related laws. You should be familiar with reviewing loan documentations as well as ISDA related agreements. Candidates from Private Practice with experience in banking and finance will be considered.
