    Description

    Our client is a renowned public-listed food company and is hiring a Chef to lead its newly setup Central Kitchen in Singapore.

    Responsibilities

    Reporting to the Production Manager, you oversee the recipe development of Asian (Indian) cuisines, scaling up and producing them in the Central Kitchen. You will need to have a good understanding of various manufacturing equipment and machines for producing these recipes into Ready-to-Eat (RTE) meal format. This is an end-to-end role, from ingredients and raw material selection, product development and commercialization of RTE meals that comply with food safety and hygiene standards.  You will also have the opportunity to lead your own team as the operation ramps up.

    Requirements

    Ideally, you would have a professional culinary qualification, with at least 7 years of working experience in large scale food manufacturing facilities. Hands-on experience in cooking and developing recipes in Indian cuisine is a must.  Prior working experience in a catering company will be highly regarded. To be successful in this role, you are someone creative, able to multi-task, able to work independently and has growth mindset.
