    This is a stable and reputable dry bulk trading MNC with a global footprint. Singapore serves as its Asia Pacific centre. With the intention to start a freight desk, an exciting opportunity has arisen for a high calibre Chartering Manager to join the Singapore team.

    Reporting directly to the Head of Operations, the Chartering Manager will play an integral role in optimising all voyages with third parties, be the subject expert for all commercial shipping matters, be providing market intelligence and forecast to the trading team. He / She will also be proactively managing customers need and building strong relationship with all external stakeholders. As the pioneer hire for the team, the chartering manager will be a self-starter and be able to present insight and solution to senior management on a timely manner.

    The successful candidate will possess a degree in logistic / supply chain / maritime studies or related discipline with at least 10 years of chartering or related shipping experience. Prior experience in a trading organisation dealing with panamax and capsize shipments will be preferred. You will possess good problem solving skills, is meticulous, hands-on and is a strategic thinker. You will also have excellent communication skills and have strong business acumen.
