Our Client is a global Ecommerce company with a widely adopted platform. Due to the rapid expansion of the business worldwide, there is a newly created opportunity for a Data Privacy Counsel to be part of the legal team supporting the Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the General Counsel, you will be the subject matter expert in data privacy, providing legal support in driving updates, development and implementation of data privacy and protection policies in the Asia Pacific region. This includes partnering with wider legal teams and cross functional stakeholders to conduct assessments to identify and mitigate potential risk areas. You will also provide updates in accordance to the development in data privacy laws and conduct trainings to educate the organisation on relevant matters.

Requirements

You are a qualified lawyer with at least 3 years’ experience in data privacy law. Prior experience in data privacy in the technology industry would be an added advantage. Passionate about data privacy and a hands-on, agile and positive individual, you thrive in a fast-paced environment. You are a team player and possess excellent interpersonal skills to partner with a wide range of global stakeholders.
