    Description

    Kerry Consulting is currently partnering with a Global Bank in hiring for a Data Protection Architect role.

    You will be part of a transformation team within the Bank, responsible for the design, development, deployment of innovative tools and processes to ensure the compliance of the Bank with internal and external demands with regards to access management and protecting data that is collected, processed, and stored staying ahead of the curve in an ever-changing security landscape.

    Responsibilities:

    • Analyse and evaluate data and their respective business usage & life cycle to identify & recommend optimisation
    • Lead engagements, structure and manage projects which meet stakeholders’ expectations and mitigate any risks or issues with stakeholders through project delivery
    • Manage DPP technologies including DLP, Data Discovery, UEBA, CASB, Classification, IRM, ICA, Data Governance tools and Encryption for both on premise and cloud
    • Document the conceptual, physical, and logical configuration of vendor products, in-house applications and other technical components with necessary and sufficient detail for Data Protection Solutions
    • Work with external regulatory auditors and compliance areas such as oversight and delivery of internal and/ or external audit actions ensuring timely and high-quality delivery as well as resolution of audit and compliance actions/ issues.
    • Seek to provide technical expertise for delivery engagements for data protection portfolio; identify and develop new requirements and services to ensure ever growing value from product and services portfolio
    • Be technically proficient with vendor tools and collaborate with vendor to identify and resolve gaps in vendor solutions/platform technologies.
    • Partner/communicate with stakeholders and other engineering functions to ensure capability meets technical roadmap and strategy.
    • Lead planning and deployment of major upgrades, patches, migration for Data Protection Technologies, endpoint agents etc.
    • Provide advice and guidance to our employees on all aspects of privacy and data protection and foster a positive data protection culture within your business area
    • Participate and advise on security incidents and investigations or privacy complaints and undertake reporting and remedial actions as necessary
    • Facilitate the preparation of data protection impact assessments for new products and services, ensuring due consideration is given to technical and organisational measures to protect and safeguard personal data and include essential elements of privacy by design and by default
    • Responsible for managing end to end RFP process/vendor selection

    Requirements:

    • Minimally 10 years of total experience, with more than 5 years of experience in implementation of data protection /data security on-premises and/or public Cloud environments.
    • Detailed knowledge of good industry practice in tiered security architecture design including designing and implementing IT Resilience into projects to ensure Disaster recovery and Business Continuity requirements are established
    • Professional experience within a financial institute or professional services organisation operating within the DPP space in a management or delivery capacity, with in depth privacy and data protection knowledge – notably of HKMA, MAS, GDPR, UK Privacy Laws and requirements and PECR alongside data protection technologies
    • Significant hands-on experience with one or multiple DPP technologies and platforms (DLP, Data Discovery, UEBA, CASB, Classification, ICA, Data Governance tools and Encryption etc) for both on premise and cloud
    • Strong understanding and technical knowledge in areas such as routing, Firewall Policy, Web Application Firewall, Intrusion Prevention System, Network Segregation, proxy, Network Security protocols and Encryption (TLS/HTTPS/SSL etc), SIEM, Messaging platforms, storage, and database.
    • In-depth experience of industry leading technologies for data security management and data Protection discipline including system architecture, infrastructure design (servers, databases, application, endpoint agent, OS), global resilience and infrastructure management.
