    Our Client is a leading chemical multinational and they are currently looking for a Procurement Manager who will be responsible for direct procurement activities across the region. This is an exciting opportunity if you are keen in driving and elevating the Procurement function to the next level.


    You will support the procurement activities specifically for the raw materials for the whole Asia Pacific region. You will be instrumental in spearheading initiatives on procurement operations consolidation and product category procurement. You will constantly identify cost saving opportunities and develop new sources of materials including low cost country suppliers. You will be responsible for all negotiations, metrics reporting and ensuring all vendor agreements are in compliance with the corporate terms and existing policies.


    You have minimum 5 years’ experience in direct procurement with regional exposure in the chemical/ commodities industry. You have proven negotiation and supplier management skills with strong stakeholders management abilities. You have experience with data analytics and spend analysis. This role requires moderate amount of travelling to countries in Asia Pacific. To be successful in this role, you have the following skill sets but not limited to:  Analytical, Ability to think out of the box, willing to roll up the sleeves and perform operational tasks.
