A boutique private bank with an established and growing presence in Asia is looking to hire an experienced Funds Advisor to join their investment team.

Responsibilities

As an experienced Funds Specialist, you will provide strategic leadership in the delivery of investment strategy and product solutions to Relationship Managers (RMs) and Investment Advisors (IAs). This involves building an integrated, multi-disciplined approach to investment idea generation, on-boarding new funds on the funds platform and ensuring penetration of funds in line with the Bank’s overall investment strategy.  You will work closely with RMs and IAs on client pitches, identifying suitable products and ensuring a strong “post-sales” advisory service. You will conduct rigorous fund/manager research to generate and maintain a set of fund recommendation within various asset classes. You will identify gaps in the existing platform which will present new product opportunities.

Requirements

You have strong academic qualifications and 10- 15 years of relevant experience including funds advisory/selection/research in private banking or asset management. You have a strong grasp of investments, fund research/due diligence skills and demonstrate a good understanding of risk and returns drivers of various asset classes. As a senior team member, you will guide less experienced colleagues and inspire team collaboration. Your strong interpersonal and communication skills will enable you to work effectively with various internal stakeholders and third-party fund providers.  You thrive in a team-based environment, yet are hands on and able to work independently.
