Our client, a large MNC producing formulated coatings for pharmaceutical application is setting up a new manufacturing facility in Johor, Malaysia and is hiring for a Facilities & Engineering Manager to be part of the greenfield project team.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Site Manager, you will be fully involved in the process of the construction and commissioning of the facility and the subsequent production ramp-up of its operations on completion. You will assist in the day-to-day project management of the construction project during the plant’s construction phase. Once the plant is ready, you will be managing the operations, budget and CAPEX of the plant, and also be given opportunity to be involved in regional and global initiatives.

Requirements

Ideally, you have a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with at least 10-15 years’ experience in facilities and engineering, with a preference for prior experience in establishing a greenfield plant. Familiarity with pharmaceutical cGMP, laboratory operations, modern safety programs and basic PLC programming for Siemens and Allen Bradley systems is preferred. The ideal candidate should possess exceptional problem-solving, organizational and excellent written and oral communication skills, with demonstrated leadership qualities.
