Role
This is a company that is venture-backed run by ex-founders with angel investors that are founders of unicorns/decacorns, senior executives from Temasek as well as GPs of VC funds.
With Singapore as the headquarter, the company will be building next-generation accounting software as well as provide back-office services for SG HQ companies, including web3 companies as well.
Here is one of the rare and good opportunities for an accountant/auditor to have a career transition to the front-office of a new business as a founding member. You may be rewarded with significant ESOP and will be given the opportunity to build your own team and manage a portfolio of clients.
Business Development
- Deliver the Company’s business development strategy and identifies opportunities for cross-selling of services.
- Develop and implement new business strategies with existing clients and prospects
- Manage the onboarding of new clients and grow his own set of clientele
- Will have the opportunity to assume role of product manager, working with engineers to design SaaS product relevant for Web3 accountants and companies
Portfolio Management
- Manage full sets of accounts including financial statements and compilation reports, GST returns, corporate income tax returns, XBRLs (and payroll, IR8A where necessary) of a given portfolio of client companies, potentially web3 companies
- Provide complex financial and accountancy support,analysis and advice to the clients
- Be proactive in identifying compliance under Singapore’s Financial Reporting Standards (SFRS) requirements, accounting needs of the clients and utilizing all the tools that we have at your disposal
- Initiate accounting system/workflow automation with the clients
- Interacts with external auditors in completing audits.
- Analyzes customer specific demands and provides value-added solutions.
- Always ensuring client satisfaction is managed at its best.
- Responsible for reviewing invoices and monitoring collections.
Team Management
- Build and lead his/her own team of regional accountants
- Manage the performance of the engagement team ensuring deadlines are met, staff planning, job allocation and monitoring resources
- Responsible for all aspects of project administration including time entry, staff productivity, job recovery, letter of engagement, billings, collections
- Providing technical guidance, ensuring the mentorship and constant professional development of team members
Requirements
- Degree in Accountancy/Finance/CPA/ACCA/CA or equivalent
- At least 2 years of experience in a Big4 Company or in-house in a Web3 company, preferably both
- Strong analytical and technical skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment, having good oral and written communication skills
- Entrepreneurial, good with BD, Driven, Multi-tasking, able to work independently, and proactive
- Experience with cloud accounting software such as Xero,Quickbooks
- Familiarity with cryptocurrencies is preferred
- Proficiency with Excel or Google Sheets
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and people management experience
- Having a tech driven mindset, constantly seeking ways to improve efficiency and adapt easily to a fast-paced and ever changing environment.
