This is one of the leading multi-commodities conglomerates with significant trading presence in Asia. Due to business growth, there is now an opportunity for a high-calibre Finance Manager to join the finance team in Singapore as part of their expansion plans.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Finance Controller, the Finance Manager will manage the financial reporting, accounting and tax matters. He/ She will ensure the timely reporting of monthly closing and consolidation for Group and statutory reporting. The Finance Manager will review the reconciliation of accounting and trading systems, and the reconciliation of PNL with the Middle office. He/ She will also work with the Finance Controller to drive any finance transformation project.

As this is a managerial position, the Finance Manager will guide and be the mentor for his/ her team members.

Requirements

The successful candidate must have a degree in Accountancy and accounting qualified, with at least 8-10 years of relevant work experience, armed with up-to-date understanding of changes in IFRS, and controls framework. Ideally, you have some prior audit experience, before gaining accounting experience in commodity trading companies.

You will also have a proven track record managing a team, with a hands-on approach to problem-solving with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
