Our client is a global food & beverage ingredients company and is hiring for a Food Technologist for their R&D team in Singapore.
Reporting to the Head of R&D, you will be responsible for formulating and developing food products that meet the required consumer and industry standards, conducting pilot plant trials and scaling them up for commercialisation. You will get the chance to create innovative product concepts for culinary, snacks and protein bars application and bring them to market. This role also involves researching and analysing scientific publications and translating the knowledge to continuously improve product formulation, stability and their processing methods. As the subject matter expert, you will be working closely with the Sales team to provide on-site and off-site technical support to clients in Asia.
You would need to have at least a Bachelor’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or a related field, with at least 5 years of experience in the food industry. To be successful in this role, you are hands-on, self-motivated, able to multitask and possess good communication skills. Knowledge and prior experience in ingredients and processing equipment will be highly regarded. You should also be willing to travel, up to 20% of your time.
