    Description

    FP&A Director, Education

    One of the leading education company’s based in Singapore, this role will partner and provide an important bridge between the finance functions, management and other areas of the company. They will deliver financial information, tools, analysis and insight to Senior Management across the organization that equips them with the information they need to make informed decisions that align with the company’s strategic and BAU objectives. The role is important in providing the insight that allows the Senior management and HoD’s to challenge, coach and motivate their teams.

    Responsibilities

    • Interpreting and explaining financial performance within the organization. Working in partnership with the other functions in leading changes in financial delivery across management– operationally and culturally
    • Pulling and consolidating data and building effective operational and strategic reports that can be adopted and managed by the senior management and budget coordinators to be used by the company.
    • Realigning the processes within and among the other departments with respect to budget planning and the use of financial data, creating consistency on what financial data is made available and when and how the data may be used to deliver efficiencies and strategic objectives .
    • Building strong, effective relationships with the budget holders, to ensure that their needs are understood and managed to ensure effectiveness, credibility and full confidence in the service delivered within company.
    • Working closely with the other stakeholders, providing financial analysis, insight and support to ensure that the budget holders and their finance administrators are able to link financial reports to company’s strategies and objectives effectively to provide best value.
    • Developing strong, effective, collaborative partnerships with senior management and all professional service staff, their teams, guiding, informing and challenging them in their thinking and supporting them to act on the data provided.
    • In partnership with other deparmtents, supporting the company in the lead up to the new financial year in developing more comprehensive and robust 3-years rolling budget plans. Ensuring that financial measures tie to strategic goals and KPIs.
    • Supporting the company to better understand, classify and identify follow-up actions for BAU,, Capex and Strategic Initiatives
    • Providing information for quarterly financial reports and for the understanding of financial opportunities and risks.
    • Supporting and facilitating continuous improvement, with ongoing appraisal and re-evaluation of financial reporting systems, cost drivers and change management to new ways of reporting and working.
    • Coaching and developing senior management and budget coordinators in financial analysis and reporting; and to support the optimization of their financial performance, providing insightful management information including reporting on historic financial performance.
    • Dealing with and working through issues of conflict and operational challenges with operational teams and other stakeholders.
    • Providing advice and guidance on business plans developed to support initiatives which includes market research and analysis to assess market trends.

    Requirements:

    • 12+ years of Finance/ FP&A experience working in a Multi national company environment, highly matrix environment
    • CA/ ACCA qualified
    • People management and strong leadership qualities
    • Positive personality with strong work ethics and the ability to take on multifaced roles and
      responsibilities
    • Strong communiation and influencing skills to partner with senior management
