About our Client

Our client is in the technology infrastructure industry with a growing presence and aggressive expansion plan in the Asia Pacific region. Hence, they now have a newly created role for a General Counsel to lead the regional legal and compliance function as part of the Senior Management team.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the CFO and managing a team of lawyers in the region, you will play a key leadership role as part of the senior management team. You will be responsible for providing legal advice to steer the development and growth of the global business in line with the strategy while minimising risk to the organisation and ensuring compliance to regulatory requirements. You will also drive M&As and work closely with external counsels on other specialised legal topics including but not limited to litigation or intellectual property strategies as the needs arise.

Requirements
You are a qualified lawyer with at least 15 years of post-qualification experience in both legal and compliance matters ideally gained within the technology or telecommunications industry. A commercial-minded and hands on individual, you have a keen understanding of legal and regulatory requirements in the Asia Pacific region. You enjoy a fast-paced, high growth environment and possess an excellent track record in leadership roles and managing government affairs and public policies.
