    Our client is a leading player in the Diamond industry with a wide range of rough diamond products being sold on a spot and forward contract basis, using innovative online auctions. Their customers range from rough diamond traders, to manufacturers and sellers of polished diamonds, to jewellery manufacturers and retailers. We are now seeking for a Singapore-based Head of Sales to lead a global sales team to develop, maintain and grow business relationships with potential and existing customers through the effective direct marketing of Auction Sales customer value proposition.

    Reporting to the Global Business Head, you will be responsible for the management of the sales cycle, from forecasting demand, executing viewings across a network of offices and managing the auction events through your team of Account Managers and Commercial Analysts based across Asia, Europe and Middle-East. Key functional focuses will be on Customer Relationship Management (market development and customer acquisition, customer retention, sales growth, CRM process management, opportunity identification and analysis), Sales Cycle Management (demand forecasting, viewing management, pricing and auction management) as well as Commercial (market intelligence, opportunity assessment and implementation).

    You will have approximately 15 years of working experience having led an international/regional commercial business in a B2B environment. Experience of leading and managing a high technology business as well as prior background in finance before moving into a sales leadership role will be greatly appreciated. The ability to interpret complex data and draw conclusions under pressure of time as well as understanding of relevant legislation with respect to commercial operations, IP, data security and related matters will be valuable. Appreciation of the Global Diamond Industry will be good to have but not necessary as institutional training will be provided with the team having many years of industry knowledge.
