Our Client is the leader in the Consumer Retail Space and they have a highly stable global procurement team. With its recent internal mobility move, they are now looking for a new Global Indirect Procurement Lead to be based in Singapore.
You will define the strategic sourcing strategy for the region/ global and define the best supplier portfolio. You will optimize cost and maximize value creation opportunities impacting P&L and Top Line. You will establish and implement regional source-of-supply process management, including sourcing strategy, sourcing activities and vendor management for China-based vendors. Along with the global procurement team, you will anticipate business activity and act proactively to input business needs or lead the category strategy. You will also capture innovation opportunities form internal & external sources and lead the various strategic projects concurrently.
You are degree qualified with at least 8 years of experience in indirect procurement/ strategic sourcing. You work effectively with the counterparts across the region/ global with strong track record of good judgment and mature business skills. Prior experience liaising with suppliers from China would be a prerequisite for this role as most suppliers/ vendors are based there. You work effectively in a stressful commercial environment to meet tight schedules. You are an expert in SAP and focused on delivery with project management meeting desired outcome. To succeed in this role, you would be associated with the following traits: Good interpersonal skills, negotiation skills, project management expertise.
