    Description

    Our client is a Multi- Family Office, with an exciting mandate to invest in commodities, such as oil, gas, mining and energy projects globally. They are set to launch a commodity fund and is hiring an experienced institutional sales person to lead fund raising activities and helm key client relationships.

    Responsibilities

    The successful candidate will build and develop a robust client portfolio from scratch, comprising institutional clients such as asset management firms, SWFs, central banks, financial institutions, insurance companies, pension funds, securities firms, foundations, statutory boards and corporations with interest to invest in alternative assets. You will spearhead the entire sales transaction cycle, work closely with the portfolio management team, internal stakeholders and related parties to ensure successful client-onboarding and achieving the targeted AUM within specified time-lines.

    Requirements

    The ideal candidate will have excellent academic qualifications and at least 10 years of work experience in an institutional sales role. You have a proven track- record as a fund raising professional, possess a strong network and deep relationships with institutional clients locally, regionally and/or globally and will be impactful in raising AUM for a new fund/strategy.

    To succeed in this new set up, you are likely to be highly driven, resourceful, entrepreneurial and hands-on. You have strong knowledge of and passion for financial markets and an interest in the commodities sector. Ability to work independently and think critically is essential to succeed in this fast-paced and dynamic environment.
