We are excited to be working on an exclusive role with an incredibly well-funded cryptocurrency hedge fund. Founded by a team of veterans with years of experience in asset management and investment banking, this hedge funds works with UHNW / HNW individuals and institutional investors to provide them exposure to alternative assets for diversification. The team is growing on the back of a hugely profitable year and are now seeking their first Head of People.
This newly-created role is perfect for an individual contributor who is keen on building the People function for a team of highly credible and intelligent traders. While the nature of the role is full-spectrum in nature – the three key priorities for this person would be in talent management, compensation & benefits, and employee engagement. You will be helping to set-up a robust, metrics-based performance management framework which will aid in measuring performance and identifying concrete areas of further development. You will also help to integrate this performance framework into a rewards scheme to motivate pay-for-performance bonuses which objectively rewards talent based on quantifiable key metrics. Overall, these policies play an instrumental role in the attraction and retention of talent to ensure the company maintains the highest quality of talent in this extremely fast-paced world of asset management and trading. But above all, you bring heart and soul into the firm with your genuine care for people, personable engagement with their needs and concerns, and concern for their well-being. In this niche high-stakes world of asset trading and management – your People strategies and structures bring clarity to the best traders in the industry to focus on doing better whilst knowing they are cared for and well taken care of.
You must be degree-qualified and possess at least 6 years of HR experience in both a start-up office and matrix-structured MNC. Experience in financial markets would be hugely advantageous as will experience in designing a total rewards and/or performance management framework. Above all, an individual who has a penchant for partnering strategically with business leaders – and whom is able to equally execute tactically on the ground – would find this role hugely rewarding and fulfilling.
