Our client is a growing pharmaceutical start-up with an international presence and track record of profitability. As they are establishing their presence in Singapore, there is a need to hire a Head of Procurement – International for the HQ in Singapore.
This is a newly created role and you will report directly to the CFO. As a pioneer procurement leader, you will be instrumental in setting up the procurement policies, processes, systems and framework from scratch. You will spearhead the overall direction for international procurement ensuring it is aligned with the overall business strategy. You will identify the most effective strategy and solution to form a robust procurement function for the organization in meeting international market needs.
Minimum 10 years of strategic procurement experience and you have the breadth of end-to-end supply chain knowledge gained in pharmaceutical industry. You have a start-up mindset, agile and entrepreneurial where you are comfortable working in an unstructured/ ambiguous environment. Prior experience in a pharma procurement start-up would be an advantage. You are a firm believer of technology intervention and usage of systems to enhance the efficiency of the overall processes. Experience liaising with stakeholders (internal/ external) from China would be an added advantage for this role as there will be very frequent communications with them. This role would potentially require moderate to extensive global travelling.
