This is a leading energy trading and supply company, with an impressive portfolio of investments in mid/ downstream assets across Asia Pacific. In addition to the current portfolio of energy trading, the Group is also further expanding into future energies. Singapore serves as one of its key commercial and trading locations, supporting business development and acquisition activities across Asia Pacific. Due to a spike in demands from the trading business, there is now an exciting opportunity for a Head of Research & Market Analysis to lead a team of trading analysts based in Singapore and abroad.

Responsibilities
Reporting to the Asia Managing Director, the Head of Market Analysis will lead efforts within the trading business to develop market, financial and competitor analysis, therefore being highly instrumental in identifying growth opportunities for the company. Developing sound short-term trading analytics along with long-term forecasts is key to the success of the role. You will be advising the management on the market views based on fundamental analyses, and engage with Trading, Strategy, Business Development to communicate these views. In line with the Group’s drive for continuous business improvement, he/ she will also be representing the trading team to lead those initiatives. As a team manager, you will be instrumental in coaching, guiding and mentoring a team of high performing analysts and interns.

Requirements
The successful candidate must have an excellent degree from a recognised university, with 10-15 years of managerial experience in energy trading research and analytics in a senior capacity. You will be described as commercially astute, a thought leader with an excellent reputation in the energy trading industry.
