Investigations Officer (Education)

You will be a trusted Investigations Officer who will be managing investigations cases end to end independently for a variety of cases. You will also be responsible for providing expertise and guidance for institution’s level investigations dealing with staff irregularities and breaches under the various legislations including Computer Misuse Act and Cybersecurity Act. The candidate will be required to work with the respective stakeholders to conduct investigations in a timely manner to minimize financial losses, reputational, regulatory and operational risks involving criminal conduct, dishonesty and deliberate breaches of policies or regulations in the institution. Besides investigation, the candidate is also expected to work within the ecosystems of the various clusters and stakeholders to promote Compliance and also be Cyber-risk aware. Others including assisting the Head of Investigations to evaluate complaints, allegations and breaches received by the institution through the Whistleblowing unit and other channels and advise on their suitability for investigations. Conduct investigations in line with institution’s procedures and best practices including case management, interviewing, evidence collection, recommendations for disciplinary sanctions and attendance before committee of inquiry or in a court of law.
You have a minimum 8 years of investigative experience in law enforcement or in a corporate environment focusing on fraud, cyber-crimes, misconduct and ethics violations. Work experience with running investigations experience, recognized University with a degree in law or accounting. A track record in cyber-crime investigations and/or prevention will have a distinct advantage. Excellent communication skills
