A Private Bank is looking to hire an experienced Investment Strategist to join the CIO’s Office. A newly created role, this individual will work closely with the CIO to actively contribute to the bank’s thought leadership on asset allocation, macro/thematic research and portfolio construction.

Responsibilities:

This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced individual to develop house views through conducting deep research on macro topics. You are able to provide recommendations on asset allocation, portfolio construction and investment outlook over cyclical and long-term horizons. You will analyze complex investment research issues, focusing on financial markets, current affair/themes and their implication for portfolio construction, investment thesis and asset allocation. You will lead investment discussions and debates, produce commentaries for internal consumption, senior management, media as well as external publications.

Qualifications:

The successful candidate has outstanding academic qualifications with over 10 years of experience in an investment/macro strategist role, preferably with experience in Private Banking or Wealth Management. You have an excellent grasp of macroeconomics and investment theory/fundamentals and experience conducting research/analysis across a range of asset classes. You are able to build and maintain analytical tools, develop investment themes and narrative, and conduct analysis of market behaviour under various macro conditions.  A driven and solutions-oriented individual, you thrive in a collaborative environment. You have strong communication and presentation skills and are able to present effectively to internal and external audience.
