Our client is a food innovation company providing product development, scale-up and commercialisation services to aspiring start-ups and enterprises. They are hiring a Laboratory Executive for their newly setup shared facility in Singapore.
This role reports to the Facility Operation Manager. Your main responsibility is to manage the food innovation laboratory and small-scale manufacturing plant to ensure smooth operation of the shared facility. This entails ensuring equipment are in good condition and compliant with the facility’s operating license, drafting and updating SOP for use of laboratory facility, and ensuring raw materials and chemicals used comply with regulatory standards. In addition to laboratory management, you will also assist with the onboarding of clients (users) in this facility and provide equipment troubleshooting assistance when required.
You will ideally have a Bachelor’s degree in Science or Engineering, with at least 4 years of working experience in a food research, pilot plant or biotechnology laboratory. To be successful in this role, you need to have strong organisational and project management skills, and able to solve practical problems. Hands-on experience in food technology and processing, physical and/or chemical testing is highly regarded.
