Kerry Consulting is partnering very closely with a Regional Bank that has a strong foot print in Singapore. They are currently looking to hire a legal counsel for the team reporting directly to the Head of Legal.  This is an excellent opportunity for a mid level legal counsel to get exposure to a wider range of financing matters e.g. trade finance, bilateral loans as well as syndicated loans.

Responsibilities

As a member within the team, you will be supporting the front office on the negotiations with clients on corporate banking related transactions (e.g. bilateral/syndicated loans).  You will also assist in giving inputs to ensure that the bank operates within the regulatory requirements. On the financial markets front, you will work closely with the business to support any bespoke derivatives transactions as well as with ISDA negotiations.

From time to time you will be involve in adhoc projects/initiatives that help to drive better legal efficiency within the organization. You will up keep the legal documentations for the transactions handled to ensure that they are align with the bank’s standards and also with market’s best practices.

Requirements

You should ideally bring along with you some form of banking/financing experience either in private practice of in-house. You should ideally be a Singapore/Hong Kong or Australia qualified lawyer with at least 4 years PQE and have the ability to see through transactions independently.
