Our client is a global leading Insurance company. Headquartered in Europe, they are targeting organic growth across emerging markets to grow their global footprint in Asia-Pacific. They have created a new Legal Counsel role to be based in their robust Malaysia office.

Role
Reporting to the regional General Counsel, you will be responsible for supporting all legal and regulatory matters in the business, i.e. contractual matters, claims, product development and terms, and regulatory compliance. Working with cross-functional teams across the region, you will help to drive global projects and strategic initiatives whilst mitigating risks. You will also keep abreast of latest regulatory trends and updates to play the role as a subject matter expert.

Qualifications
The successful candidate should be a Malaysian qualified lawyer with at least 7 years PQE with solid experience in handling Insurance matters. Agile, meticulous and a strong team player, you have a proven track record in organising and prioritising that helps in meeting challenging deadlines. You possess excellent communication skills and is confident to collaborate with stakeholders across levels and functions.
