Our client is a global conglomerate with a diversified business across industries and regions. As the business continues to flourish and grow organically across the emerging markets, they have created a new Legal Counsel role in the International Litigation team on the Group level. This is a rare and exciting opportunity that offers exposure to global disputes and investigations work across business lines as well as remote working opportunities.

Role
Reporting to the Senior Counsel, you will primarily manage all legal efforts in response to contentious inquiries and matters, including pre-litigation and regulatory matters and create tangible strategic impact by driving the organisation’s approach to reduce business risks whilst balancing against the business’s commercial strategies. You will also take charge in driving external communications and negotiations of contracts for different business lines in the ecosystem, and support in a variety of risk management projects.

Qualifications
The successful candidate should be a Malaysian qualified lawyer with at least 4 years PQE practicing as a litigation and dispute resolution lawyer. You possess solid legal technical expertise, you are familiar with operational aspects of litigation management and investigations work. Solution-focused with a strong analytical mind, you are capable in developing relevant and creative solutions to handle risks and manage disputes.
