    Our client is a regional investment bank that has been achieving steady growth over the last 5 years. In order to support their business activities here in Singapore, they are looking to bring onboard a legal counsel to support their business. This is an exciting opportunity for individuals who are keen on transactional work in an in-house environment.

    As a member within the legal team and reporting directly to the Head of Legal, you will be responsible for providing legal support in relation to the Bank’s investment banking activities ranging from M&A, IPO to SGX related matters. Instead of being narrowed to a particular area of activities, you will also support the bank in relation to their general corporate commercial matters as well including but not limited to commercial agreements, outsourcing, employment, products and service offerings.  You will keep yourself updated on regulatory requirements from both MAS and SGX in order to provide relevant advices to the business and supporting the various functions in their interactions with the regulators. As this is a lean team, you will also have the opportunity to take on the corporate secretarial duties for the bank.

    In order to succeed in this role, you should be a Singapore qualified lawyers with 5 years of experience in a law firm or in an in-house financial services/banking industry having covered work in relation to capital markets and/or merger and acquisitions.  You should also be able to navigate yourself within a large organization interacting with multiple stakeholders. You should be able to work independently and see through the end to end of any transactions.
