This is a fast growing Gas & Power Integrated Producer, with Singapore as its APAC trading hub. The Group is viewed as an emerging player within the LNG arena, and is now on the search for a high calibre LNG Middle Officer / Risk Analyst.

Role

Reporting to the Head of Middle Office, the LNG Middle Officer / Risk Analyst will play an integral role in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of P&L and exposure reconciliation on a daily basis. The analyst will also ensure that the curves are reasonably marked and monitor VAR limits. The Analyst will also work cross- functionally with the traders, operations, credit risk, trade finance, and accounting. As a key member of the middle office team, the Analyst will be actively involved in in-house system developments.

Requirements 

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a mathematics / finance / business / engineering discipline at 2-5 years’ work experience in commodities trading environments, ideally from the energy sectors. Those with programming proficiencies in Python, R, VBA, SQL, Matlab and Power BI will have a distinct advantage. Due to the high intensity of the role, the individual must have the ability to work under pressure and independently. You will have an established track record of contributing directly to trading performance via collecting, interpreting and transmitting actionable information.
