Our client is a renowned Flavour House and we are currently hiring for a Singapore-based Managing Director role to be responsible for the total Southeast Asia business including Supply Chain, Sales, R&D, Quality Management and Marketing.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Group Managing Director, this position will be responsible for sales for the Southeast Asia business, as well as the Flavour Production Site with the respective Supply Chain in coordination with Global VP Supply Chain in Headquarters. You will also have oversight of the Regional R&D Center, along with Quality Management and Marketing in seamless collaboration with the respective Headquarter Functions (dotted/functional line). The ideal candidate will have the charisma, gravitas and experience to establish consistent principles of operation throughout the company and define the playing field, while bringing everyone in the same direction, allowing members to thrive in it. That in turn will require someone smart, a good listener who find solutions together with the team, and yet the leadership capabilities and personality to take decisions as a leader.

Requirements

You should have exposure to the full supply value chain of a flavour/food ingredients manufacturer, with strong strategic commercial skills and mindset to continuously develop the different markets in the region and to accelerate profitable growth. Experience working with headquarter functions, along with sound financial skills and the familiarity with the Southeast Asian Markets will be required. Crucially, strong leadership capabilities will be required, the ability to bring the best out of an experienced regional leadership team of differing cultural background and nationalities will be the key to success for this position. Hence, an experienced team player, who is able to motivate and develop the team to the next level will be necessary.
