Middle Officer / Risk Analyst – Energy (Oil + LNG) Trading Multinational

This is a leading and established commodity trading MNC with a global presence that trades across the barrel including Crude, Oil Products, LNG. Singapore serves as the Asia Pacific Headquarters. Due to business expansion, there is now a need to hire a Middle Office Analyst and be part of a high calibre Middle Office team.

Role

Reporting to the Head of Risk, the Analyst will play an integral role in ensuring the accurate and timely reporting of P&L and exposure reconciliation on a daily basis for the crude desk. The analyst will also ensure that the curves are reasonably marked and monitor VAR limits. The Analyst will also work cross- functionally with the traders, operations, credit risk, trade finance, and accounting. As a key member of the middle office team, the Analyst will be actively involved in in-house system developments and have the exposure to cover multiple products.

Requirements 

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a finance / business / engineering discipline with at 3-8 years’ work experience in a physical commodity-trading environment, ideally from the energy sectors. You will be driven, independent, have an eye for details and is a strong team player. Those with strong IT competencies in programmes including Power BI, Python will have a distinct advantage. To excel in the role, you must be able to work in a fast paced environment under pressure.
