    This is a leading renewable energy developer with a specialization in solar and wind project developments in Asia Pacific. Due to huge growth ambitions in the Asia Pacific region, they are looking to hire a General Manager (‘GM’) for its renewable energy project development efforts.

    Reporting to the CEO of Asia, the GM will be mainly responsible for greenfield, brownfield, M&A renewable energy projects portfolio development. The GM will be the key driver of negotiations over a variety of contracts associated with the energy projects, including acquisitions, JV or other partnership arrangements.  In line with those negotiations, the GM will also be accountable for matters relating to project financing via debt, equity structuring, financing and lead negotiations with investors, financing institutions, lenders and local government authorities. The Manager is also expected to see through the finalization of the investment process, including commercial and legal terms agreements and documentations. Business Development is also a key aspect of the role, with such efforts leading to new opportunities developed for the group.

    The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a finance or business discipline with a minimum of 15 years’ experience in renewable energy project development. With a deep understanding of value creation in renewable energy power assets and markets in the region, you will also have the proven ability to structure complex financial transactions (including tax, equity structures), with a clear understanding of potential legal and credit issues, as well as an appreciation for the associated origination, operational and technical implications. You will also be described as commercial, entrepreneurial and yet also operationally hands-on with the ability to navigate with limited resources.  Due to the team’s active work in Asia Pacific, those with an additional language competency in an Asian language will be viewed upon favorably.
