Description
Our client, a market leader in providing functional food ingredients to food and beverage manufacturers is hiring an R&D Scientist in Singapore.
Responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of R&D, you will be managing the Savoury Application projects and developing new innovations and applications for the Asia Pacific region. You will be the subject matter expert of the company’s functional ingredients related to applications in sauces, chilled foods, processed meats, plant-based foods, etc. and provide technical assistance to the Sales team and customers’ R&D team. You are also expected to continue researching on the ingredients, improve and expand its product application and generate new data and findings that will help the company grow their market share.
Requirements
Ideally, you would have at least a Master’s Degree in Food Science, Food Microbiology or in a relevant field with at least 2 years of working experience in savoury product application. You are expected to be hands-on around 60% of the time, enjoy research work with a collaborative mindset. You also need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills as you are also required to meet with customers and present to both technical and commercial audience. You also need to be willing to travel, up to 20% of your time.
