    Description

    Our client is a renowned global manufacturing firm headquartered in Japan with a global presence in over 30 countries. They were the pioneers in diesel engine production back in the early 1900s and their machineries are currently used all across the globe today in a wide spectrum of varied industries. An exciting mandate has now opened for a Regional HR Manager to join them in driving strategic HR projects across the Southeast Asia region.

    Role

    This Regional HR Manager oversees a team of 3 executives to ensure the smooth running of HR Operations across the Singapore office – which is the APAC headquarters of the firm. Additionally, this person will partner with the global office and APAC leadership team to lead strategic HR initiatives across talent development, compensation & benefits, performance management, and organisational development. These project initiatives will eventually be rolled out across the 6 countries in the region and will play a pivotal role in ensuring HR policies remain relevant and progressive. This is a role that would challenge both your creativity in imagining blue-sky concepts, as well as your ability to turn them into practical solutions on the ground.

    Requirements

    You should possess at least 8 years of HR generalist experience with recent experience in managing a small team. Whilst hands-on HR operations experience is required, you should also have been involved in strategic-level projects relating to HR transformation, framework re-design, or policy drafting. You are able to identify issues from a management perspective and thereafter re-imagine existing policies to address these gaps from a systemic/process-level. You must also be a strong communicator, have strong commerciality, and possess a track record of influencing senior business leaders.
