About the Client

Our client is a global FMCG company with a growing presence and increasing market share in the segment that they operate in. Due to an expansion in the business, there is now a newly created role for a Legal Counsel to join the team in Singapore supporting the Asia Pacific and Middle East regions.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Regional General Counsel, you will be part of the team supporting the business by providing advice to contribute towards the growth of the business while mitigating risks. This includes drafting, reviewing and negotiation of commercial agreements relating to but not limited to sales and marketing, procurement, technology and e-commerce and advising on other corporate matters as they arise.  You will also ensure compliance to internal policies and procedures and laws and regulations in each local jurisdiction.

Requirements

You are a qualified lawyer with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience with a strong and practical understanding of commercial and corporate law, ideally with some experience gained within the consumer, technology, logistics or related industries. You are commercial and entrepreneurial-minded, proactive, adaptable, flexible and enjoy being part of a fast-paced environment with varied work. Fluency in Mandarin will be essential for partnering with stakeholders in the North Asia region.
