    Our client is a leading player in the Food Ingredients industry and we are currently partnering them exclusively to hire for a Technical Sales & Application Specialist position who will be the key person supporting their Adult Nutrition business across Asia.

    With a matrix reporting structure to the functional lead in headquarters as well as the business lead for Adult Nutrition in Asia, your primary responsibility will be to provide the technical expertise required to fully understand customers’ needs and appropriate solutions while optimizing account and sales processes and systems in order to contribute to the realization of commercial objectives. You will be involved with business development efforts through translating customer needs to technical solutions and internal development projects/applications; providing first line technical support to sales and customers, of which providing technical/application knowhow to customers by giving demonstrations and giving answers on technical questions.

    You will be in a position to impact value propositions by defining and investigating market developments and consumer trends within the market segments and translate these into new concepts for customers. You will contribute to the development of application-based value proposition, utilize expertise to provide input and advice on product specifications and price setting.

    You will preferably hold a MsC in relevant discipline, preferable in Food Technology or related field with 5-10 years of content know-how (product/Ingredient/application know how) combined with a great commercial compass (i.e. business acumen, customer centric). As the go-to technical expert for the business, you should be driven, high on taking ownership and accountability, hands on and focused. Excellent communication and presentation skills coupled with strong traits in influencing, result oriented and problem solving will be necessary in excelling in this role. The ability to collaborate and work well with the team from various functions (Marketing, Sales, R&D, QA etc) will be important.
