    This is a reputable top 5 commodities trading house which trades cross commodities and have operations in more than 40 countries. With business growth, they are keen to establish the energy and emission desk in China and is hence looking for a pioneer risk manager to set up the middle office function.

    Reporting directly to the country/trading head, the Risk Manager will be an integral member for the China risk reporting team and will be responsible for all middle office scope including daily PnL and position reporting, MTM monitoring, operational credit risk monitoring, ensuring compliance within the global trading policies and be involved in some finance scope. Being a pioneer hire, he / she will work closely with the china desk to establish framework and processes and be involved in various projects.

    The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a Business/Finance/Economics discipline with at least 5 years’ of relevant work experience. Prior experience in an energy trading environment will be advantageous. You will be versatile, organised, hands-on and detailed. You will possess good interpersonal and communication skill, is a change agent and is independent. To excel in the role, you will also be strong in working on excel and is tech-savvy.
