Our client is a high-growth food technology start-up and am hiring for a Regional Sales Manager to expand their footprint in the Asia Pacific region.

Responsibilities

This role reports directly to the Board Member with dotted line reporting to the Commercial Manager. As a Regional Sales Manager, you will play a crucial role in expanding the company’s footprint in the Food & Nutrition market segments in China, Taiwan, Australia and New Zealand. You will be responsible for developing new accounts through direct sales and partnership with distributors, promoting the company’s product portfolio, and gathering market intelligence to stay ahead of the competition. You will drive growth and meet sales revenue targets and handle all customer inquiries, including product information, training, pricing and quality matters. This is a dynamic and challenging role that requires a high degree of initiative, flexibility, and a growth mindset.

Requirements 

The ideal candidate for this role should have a Degree in Food Science or a related discipline, with at least 5 years of sales experience in the food ingredients industry. Prior experience in sweeteners and sugar reduction portfolio would be advantageous. Strong communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills and able to work independently are key success factors. The ideal candidate should also be a self-starter and able to work well under pressure. Given that this is a regional sales role, you should also be willing to travel.
