This is an ambitious European energy trading multinational, with an established presence in Singapore as its Asia Pacific Regional Headquarters. Due to exciting developments in business strategies, an opportunity for a high calibre Senior Credit Risk Analyst has arisen to work closely with the trading commercial team.
Reporting to the Asia Pacific Head of Credit based in Singapore, the Senior Credit Risk Analyst will play an integral role in performing the Asian counterparty credit risk function and directly managing the relationship with the business unit heads. He/ She will serve as a key business partner working to support the business activities across locations in Asia, contributing to developing and executing business unit strategies and goals in the region. He/ She will analyse, structure and approve deals that are aligned with the firm’s policies and risk appetite; educate businesses with regards to corporate and business counterparty risk policies/requirements/processes; as well as monitor and ensure compliance. The Senior Risk Analyst will partner other regional counterparty risk management teams, analytics, market risk, to leverage insight, data, capabilities, talent, tools and best practices and drive efficiencies.
The successful candidate is degree qualified in a business/ finance discipline with 10-12 years’ regional counterparty credit experience gained in Commodities trading or global banks covering complex commodities/ natural resources businesses. Track record in credit for structured trade finance will be a distinct advantage. You have strong business partnering, problem solving, analytical and change management experience. Fluency in Mandarin is essential as there will be significant interactions with businesses and counterparts based in China. You will also possess strong communication, presentation and influencing skills.
