    This role will be part of the Group Financial Reporting and Technical Accounting team and acting as subject matter expert for technical accounting matters to ensure transactions of the Company are accounted for accurately in its financial statements for the purpose of the Group’s consolidated financial statements.

    • Prepare and update all technical accounting memos on critical accounting policies on a quarterly/annual basis.
    • Supporting the determination of the Company’s accounting policies, specifically for complex accounting issues and transactions, in accordance with IFRS for certain non-routine complex or judgemental areas
    • Proactively assess the impact of new IFRS accounting standards, prepare assessment papers and execute the implementation.
    • Ensure that accounting policies are well understood and partner with various teams to reinforce and operationalize accounting policies
    • Establish themselves as a key business partner and “go-to” resource to provide technical accounting guidance to senior management and others
    • Review the quarterly and annual reporting packages, including the cash flow statement, management discussion and analysis, footnotes disclosures and disclosure checklists for the purpose of the Group’s compliance to SEC reporting requirements.
    • Ensure the Company’s accounting is in compliance with IFRS and the Group reporting instructions, including timely adoption of all required Accounting Standards Updates. This includes ongoing assessments for areas like impairment, fair value accounting, debt financing, long term incentive plans etc
    • Evaluate the accounting consequences and impact of potential business transactions including M&A and provide guidance and suggestions to planned and proposed agreements and ventures.
    • Work with the Regional Accounting and Controllership teams to implement new financial accounting policies.
    • Provide on-going technical accounting training to the finance organisation.
    • Incorporate and maintain SOX controls within the Technical Accounting function
    • Support the Group in its quarterly and annual earnings release, investor decks, Audit Committee materials and other outside communications as appropriate.


    • CPA or Chartered Accountant or Master Degree in Accounting and Finance.
    • Minimum 10 years of relevant work experience including Big 4 public accounting firm and industry experience with a large US listed company or MNC.
    • Experience in PCAOB audit with Big 4 accounting firm with knowledge of US SEC reporting requirements
    • Experience in the preparation of financial statements and footnotes of a public listed company.
    • Thorough knowledge of IFRS (US GAAP is a plus), strong technical writing skills and experience in the implementation and handling of complex IFRS accounting matters with proven ability to research and clearly articulate and document complex technical accounting issues.
    • Strong analytical, problem-solving and strategic-thinking skills with forward looking focus.
    • Strong leadership, project management and communication skill, able to work with all stakeholders, external consultants and auditors
