Senior Risk Analyst (Dry Bulk including Iron Ore) – Leading Commodities Group

This is leading and dry bulk commodities multinational with a global headcount of more than 500 employees. Singapore serves as the Asia Pacific Headquarters and trades in energy and dry bulk including iron ore and coal. Due to increase in business demands and a buoyant market, there is a newly created opportunity for a high calibre senior risk analyst to join the market risk team.

Role

Reporting directly to the Head of Market Risk in Singapore, the senior risk analyst will be heavily involved in quantifying and reporting of daily exposure and PnL of the physical and paper positions. He / She will ensure that the curves are reasonably marked, monitor VAR utilisation, reconcile data across various systems and be involved in system implementation. The senior analyst will also be working closely with the finance team to ensure timely and accurate month end close.

Requirements 

The successful candidate will be degree qualified in a finance discipline with 5-7 years’ work experience in a physical commodity trading environment ideally within dry bulk commodities. You will also be self-motivated, a self-starter and yet a strong team player. Candidates with excellent analytical and advanced excel skills are highly desirable.
