Location: Singapore, covering the Asia region

Reporting to: Regional Head of Flavours

Job Summary:

Our client is a renowned Flavour & Fragrance company and am currently seeking to hire an experienced Senior Sweet Flavourist to join their team in Singapore. The ideal candidate will be responsible for leading the function in Asia, while liaising directly with the R&D team in headquarters on relevant project work. As the most senior flavourist in the regional office, the candidate will be the voice for Asia and must possess excellent communication skills.

Responsibilities:

• Lead the function for the Asia region

• Collaborate with the R&D team at HQ on relevant project work

• Provide technical support to the sales team on flavour development and customer briefs

• Develop new sweet flavour formulations and enhance existing ones

• Conduct sensory evaluations and analysis

• Manage the flavours portfolio and identify areas for growth

• Keep up to date with market trends and consumer preferences

• Provide guidance and mentorship to the junior flavourist in the team

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Science, Chemistry, or a related field

• Minimum 6 to 10 years of experience as a flavourist specialising in the sweet category

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

• Ability to work independently and as a team player

• Willingness to travel 1 to 2 times a quarter to meet with customers
