    We are excited to represent one of the largest banks in Southeast Asia as they embark on an ambitious strategy to cement their status as one of the region’s most premier and innovative financial institutions. They are setting up an innovation centre in the heart of Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia and are now seeking a talented SVP – Head of HR to join the team in shaping the digital landscape of tomorrow.


    As one of the first 4 hires in this innovation centre, you are a key pillar in the region and will be counted upon to shape the people strategies that will ensure enduring success for this technological hub. The vision for this Centre is for it to grow to 1,000 employees by 2026 and function independently as a technological think-tank which drives the development of cutting-edge solutions that will shape the future of the banking industry.

    You will play a pivotal role in shaping the people policies that ultimately impact the quality of talent in this lab; from its recruitment strategy, performance management ideologies, compensation philosophies, retention methods, and engagement style – every facet of HR will be positively driven by your astute insights and experience. You will initially be supported by an offshore HRSS team but will grow your organic in-country HR department as the lab grows in scale. This is a tremendously exciting opportunity for someone passionate about driving change, creating meaningful & enduring impact, and building an organisation which will endure the test of time.


    You must have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in large and complex organizations within the Financial Services industry. You should also have prior experience leading greenfield projects – either establishing HR structures from ground-up, or assisting with breaking into new overseas markets. You have a track record of developing highly effective relationships with multiple stakeholders and have excellent client-facing communication skills.
