Our client is a premium manufacturer of innovative lubrication solutions and am looking to hire for a newly created Singapore-based Technical Sales Engineer role for SEA market as part of their growth plans.
Reporting to the Head of Sales based in HQ, your role is to profitably grow the business in SEA by managing existing and generating new sales accounts across all sectors aligned with the company strategy. Key target segments will be Upstream Oil & Gas as well as the Rail industry. You will be working from home and growing SEA market along with another Technical Sales colleague. your main role will be to grow business through direct and indirect (partner) channels in a manner consistent with increasing and securing market share. You will be technically sound and able to explain product application to customers to help them understand the unique technology and value of your solutions. With the products commanding premium prices in a competitive market, you will need to provide true customer focus. Regular travel is required within the region with occasional travel outside the region.
You will be a graduate in chemical/mechanical engineering or chemistry with a minimum of 5 years experience in value selling of engineered products. Experience within heavy engineering, preferably from an exploration and production background in Oil and Gas will be highly regarded. Prior experience in Lubricants is not necessary; but a fast learner with strong technical background and proven successful sales record of new business development will be necessary.
